B.K. was a 14 year old boy when he underwent an occipitocervical fusion for congenital basilar invagination at an outside hospital. Unfortunately, the reduction was lost and further spinal cord compression caused him to lose the ability to walk. He underwent a complex surgery, with posterior removal of implants, anterior transoral release followed by revision of the posterior occipitocervical fusion. He went on to recover completely and regained his ability to walk.
